He was able to build all the variations without help. It interacts well with other sets. The small size of this set is rewarding, in that he doesn't have to spend so much frustrating time hunting for the right piece.

It's just what you expect to get - a small LEGO set. It's fun. But the reason I'm writing this review is to warn people that Amazon likes to ship these types of items in small bubble envelopes. Needless to say, when I received my product, the LEGO box was completely smashed. Hopefully they'll get their act together and start using proper boxes. Until then, beware.

I wouldn't buy it again. There are just a few more blocks to add to your lego. It did not make an impresion on my 4 y.o. son, and he does not want to play with the set as he loves to imagine himself as a firefighter.

My four-year-old received this for his birthday and can put it together by himself. But it's not so easy that he feels like he's playing with "baby" blocks, as he now likes to call the Duplo blocks. It's perfect for moving up to the bigger sets with more pieces and greater detail. Legos really are the perfect toy. If that's all we had, my kids would be happy for hours.
